I feel like I’ve seen questions describe them as round - plus we already have spherocyte in the cloze as well, which basically tells you it’s a spherical anyway

Can we do both? as in {{c1::round/spherical (spherocytes)}}
To me round = 2D and spherical = 3D

FA 2025 (pg. 420) and UW medical library also use “spherical”

I agree, but it’s just semantics at the end of the day. To me, “round” describes normal RBCs as well as sphereocytes, because both discs and spheres are “round.” The problem is the change in three dimensional shape, which I think is better captured by the term “spherical”.
