Agree with suggestion. While on this topic “the selection of individuals” also kind of gives away the answer. What about “the inclusion of individuals, groups, or data in a manner such that proper randomization is not achieved”?

Open to other phrasings, though I don’t have any immediate ideas. Some of these can be real hard to maneuver such that there isn’t any possible giveaway, sometimes
