Better to find a new image, not change the cloze
Still don’t think “Empty gestational sac without a fetal pole” is the best way to describe missed abortion as this is the definition of blighted ovum in another card
UW QID 12318 - “Ultrasound findings in a missed abortion include either an embryo without cardiac activity or a persistently empty gestational sac without a fetal pole (eg, no embryo).”
Good point. Will keep everything as is for now
Maybe delete the image, but I want to look more into the relation btw the two and if blighted ovum is a type of missed abortion or not
I keep reading this post and not understanding why the picture is bad. Why is it bad
I was under the impression that an empty gestational sac without a fetal pole (as the image shows) only means a blighted ovum. Also, the link in the image says that this is a blighted ovum as it meets the criteria for it. And I thought missed abortion appears as “embryo without cardiac activity,” but this card is similar to a UW question where the answer is missed abortion.
Also, the same image appears on another card about blighted ovum. At this point, I am unsure whether these two are mutually exclusive
