@lucydevlin thanks for your contributions over the past few weeks. Totally up to you, but we (the Maintainer team) would like to formally invite you to our next Exec meeting to have a chat if you’re free and would like to get more involved with the project. Just DM me your email address and I can pass on the deets if you’re keen.
@lucydevlin @Stapedius looks like the guidelines have changed. Having a read of the https://ranzcog.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/Screening-Prevention-Preterm-PET.pdf RANZCOG guidelines suggests using the risk calculator at https://fetalmedicine.org/research/assess/preeclampsia/first-trimester and if risk is greater than 1:100, then prophylaxis should be offered. Perhaps the card can be changed to simply what are the high risk factors for pre-eclampsia? Open to hear others thoughts.
@sabicool @Stapedius I think the RANZCOG guidelines are a little unclear on this point. RACGP - Indications for commencing aspirin provides a more user friendly high and medium/low risk factor table which @lucydevlin 's suggestion aligns to.
Suggest changing this card to say ‘What risk factors for preeclampsia are high risk, and may warrant prophylactic low-dose aspirin administration?’ And then include the RANZCOG notes in Extra. I believe I submitted a card pending approval on the RANZCOG 1:100 cutoff. Think it would be reasonable to have both cards in the deck. This card should also be changed to say pre-16 weeks for aspirin or have that part removed.
