This would change the meaning of the Extra. I think it was saying that even a family member who is bilingual AND a physician cannot perform informed consent for the patient. If the physician caring for the patient is bilingual, 1) there wouldn’t be a language barrier and 2) they would be able to do informed consent, no? I don’t have access to that TL explanation, so correct me if I’m wrong.
