I believe both are meant to build off the first bullet in Extra and describe regression? (which would still be poor form, since the card is about fixation)

I would change the wording to clarify that they don’t just start (“present”) doing this all of the sudden, but that they’ve done this since that point in development (stuck in that stage), because this is the key differentiator from regression. Maybe something like:
e.g., when under stress, someone stuck in the oral stage of development may cope by biting their nails, chewing on a pen, or sucking their thumb
