Do you think this process could be automated @sabicool - can the batch edit tool on Anki be used to identify certain phrases of bacteria that we could italicise in bulk. Might save @julian_stevenson some time on these little edits here and there. @braviboron @mrvhyte

If we batch edit, surely get rid of the non-breaking spaces too, they are soooo annoying on mobile

I could look into incorporating an automatic formatting of some kind for the malleus anki addon. I have added it as a task to consider later down the track for development.
