disagree - I feel the Q and A format works better here rather than a bunch of cloze hints. How about e.g. ‘what happens to the A - a gradient in response to a pulmonary embolus’?
“what happens” may imply that is does in fact increase or decrease and may instantly rule out the normal option, will keep as is for now, can revisit if necessary
