View Suggestion on AnkiHub

@julian_stevenson @braviboron @sabicool @pembrolizumab this feeds into our discussion earlier. I might let @braviboron you reply on behalf of the Maintainers with our cases where we intentionally avoid abbreviations. In my opinion I think in this case the abbreviation and @kyle.robinson 's suggestion is reasonable. We should add this to our accepted abbreviations guide.

@julian_stevenson @braviboron @sabicool @pembrolizumab

This is reasonable. @kyle.robinson We have had plenty of discussions about where to draw the line for what is and isn’t appropriate for abbreviation without definition.

I think we had some discussions at some point with our new IT officer who suggested it might be possible to design an addon functionality that allows users to specify their own abbreviations, which I think would be the best case scenario.

How do we all feel about parking this suggesting until the next meeting and see if we can follow up on this as a possibility by then, if not, we can proceed with these being abbreviated.

@julian_stevenson @braviboron @sabicool @pembrolizumab

I expect that the best case scenario would be an optimal approach by default, not a system where users have to decide what is abbreviated, but yes, perhaps we could discuss this again at the next meeting.

@Stapedius @braviboron @julian_stevenson @sabicool

I tend to agree, I think it’s appropriate.

As an aside, I feel like we need a maintainer @ so that we don’t have to type everyone every time :joy:

Don’t know if that’s possible within Ankihub
