I think the problem with this is the question implies the answer - it’s almost a trick @kcro9559 . Not sure if this is the ideal way we should be wording questions. @Malleus-Maintainers @braviboron
@Stapedius @kcro9559 Yes this should be rejected as a suggestion with a new card added to cover weaning max dose cases. The concept that this card tests is important in and of itself.
@kcro9559 Would you like to duplicated your suggestion and submit as a new card?
Perhaps it can be worded:
How should stimulants be weaned when being discontinued for a patient with ADHD who is receiving (close to) the maximum dose?
{{c1::Should be reduced gradually}}
How should stimulants be discontinued for a patient with ADHD?
{{c1::Can be stopped abruptly unless at/close to maximum dose}}
Is how I’d do it
And then another card as @braviboron says
If you put “weaned” in the question, you give away the answer
@Malleus-Maintainers @kcro9559
Yes, @mrvhyte’s suggestion seems ideal.
I think having another card as suggested by @braviboron is redundant.
The drugs mentioned in the extra are not stimulants, which should be made clear. They may also be worth discussing in a separate card.
I’ve updated it with my suggestion @kcro9559 @stapedius @braviboron
I agree. This is now ideal and sufficient.
Sorry I haven’t looked at ankihub and didn’t realise these threads are that active. I worry sometimes the reasoning behind my suggestions don’t hold true for others, my thought process is generally “how can I spend less time remembering this or remember it better?”. What prompts me is usually whether a card is difficult for me to remember and keeps breaking my momentum. Can I rephrase it? Does it ask the wrong question? Is there context or an explanation I can add (that doesn’t detract from meaningful recall)? Happy to see then that my suggestions get thoroughly looked at by others before approval!
Thanks for your contributions, and note that Ankihub Community only appears to send a notification if someone is specifically tagged.
I further proofed the card and have merged it into the deck @Malleus-Maintainers
Thanks @kcro9559, please keep submitting reviews for any cards you think are confusing and poorly written. If you’re not sold on the clarity of the wording then others are probably in the same boat. Thanks for your help.
