@Brian_BH @Ahmed7 Do we have any guidelines or standards for mnemonics? I think it would make sense to have a dedicated field for this. Also, it would be awesome if there was a smooth way to input the results of a prompt into a field. E.g., “Generate mnemonic and insert into the mnemonic field.”
There is no strict guidelines for mnemonics, we usually accept/reject based on voting. If the majority of maintainers find it useful and easy to understand then we add them. If its not really popular or liked by many then its rejected.
Also it depends on how hard the subject is, sometimes the mnemonics are good but its for a topic that is relevantly straightforward and it might be just one person struggling with it and does not warrant adding it to every users deck
@andrew just checking: is the suggested tag here intentional? Looks to my eyes like the tag is for the anatomy deck?
Just making sure I’m not missing something
Oops! Removed. Although it might make sense at some point to add tags to this deck for OpenStax textbooks.
That makes sense, @Ahmed7. However, If mnemonics had a dedicated field, then it would be “cheap” to add them, even if they are only useful to a few people because they could be hidden by default or revealed on demand.
