Hello everyone,
I am trying to get the “Thomas Jefferson AANS Neurosurgery deck” to sync to the anki of my macbook. As usual, I subscribed to the deck on the website and then when I sync it via the Ankihub addon - it only downloads 114 cards (the website shows there are about 1000 notes which seems very suspicious). I tried to do multiple syncs, subscribing/unsubscribing but nothing seems to work. I can clearly the cards that I have not gotten on the website and they are definitely more than 114.
Thank you for any help
Hello,
I would be happy to help.
There are a few things that might be the root cause, but most of them are resolved by one, or both, of the following:
From your top menu bar, click Anki - About Anki. From there you should be able to check your version number. If it’s anything other than 25.02 you’ll want to update; the most recent version of Anki can always be downloaded from the official Anki website: https://apps.ankiweb.net/
Once you’re certain that you’re on the most recent version of Anki you can force a corroboration check of your local collection against the server copy which can be done by following this tutorial: Resetting Local Changes
Give those things a shot, let me know how you fare, and we can go from there.
Hello @Brian_BH, thank you very much for a prompt reply
I just checked the version and it is in fact 25.02.
So I solved the issue. Apparently the deck in itself only shows me 114 cards. But then I was playing around with the browser and realized that certain note types used by the deck had so many cards that were suspended. So, I went ahead and unsuspended them and technically I know that I have all the cards for that deck on my computer.
Is there a way I can move or put all those cards into the main deck. I don’t know how can i access them to start reviewing. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much
Ah, yeah it is often the case that some decks will have cards that start out suspended. This can be for a few reasons
I’m not familiar with that particular deck, though in general moving cards around is pretty easy. I have these two tutorials which, although they are based on the AnKing Step deck, should guide you through the basic idea for how to do the following:
Move cards into a separate deck: How to move AnKing cards to their own deck
Create and move cards into subdecks: How to Create Subdecks
Please let me know if that answers your question, and if there’s anything else I can help with.
