Nice, thanks for confirming you downloaded it.

Next steps:

  1. Install from the .dmg

    • Double‑click the file you just downloaded (.dmg).
    • In the window that opens, drag the ā€œAnkiā€ icon into ā€œApplicationsā€.
    • Eject the Anki disk image when done.
  2. Try opening Anki

    • Go to Applications and double‑click Anki.
    • Tell me what happens:
      • Does Anki open normally?
      • Or nothing / an error?
  3. If it still doesn’t open

    • Open Terminal and run:

      /Applications/Anki.app/Contents/MacOS/anki

    • Take a screenshot of the Terminal window and upload it here.

If Anki does open, let me know and I’ll walk you through installing the AnkiHub add-on next.

  3. Once logged in, you can subscribe to a shared deck on the AnkiHub website and then sync it into Anki.

If you hit any error during:

  • Installing the add‑on, or
  • Logging in / syncing,

please take a screenshot and post it here, and I’ll help you sort it out.

The latest version requires macOS 13 or later. If you can’t upgrade your OS, you’ll have to downgrade to 25.09: Release 25.09 Ā· ankitects/anki Ā· GitHub
