Can you filter by "One by one"?

I’m specifically looking for all the cards that use the “One by one” format to help me recall some of those cards. Is there a way to filter for those cards?

Filtering “One by One” Format Cards

I found information about the “One by One” format in AnkiHub. This is a special format used primarily in the AnKing decks that allows you to sequentially reveal cloze deletions one at a time.

How to Filter for “One by One” Cards

Based on the information I found, the “One by One” format is controlled by a specific field called “One by one” in the note type. You can filter for these cards in Anki’s browser by searching for:

"One by one:*"

This search syntax looks for any card that has content in the “One by one” field.

About “One by One” Format

According to this post, these special cards:

• Allow you to sequentially open each cloze deletion to memorize things in order
• Can be controlled with keyboard shortcuts:
  • Use n to toggle each box one at a time
  • Use , to toggle all of them at once
  • Use h or ' to open all fields at once

Changing “One by One” Cards Back to Normal

If you prefer standard cloze cards instead:

• You can remove the text from the “One by one” field and they will revert to normal cloze notes
• You can protect that field for all notes or just individual notes

If you go to the Browse screen, then click on ‘Note Types’, then scroll down to AnKing OverHaul and ‘One by one’ it should, in theory, list anything belonging to that note type that also has something activating the ‘One by one’ field:
