Hiya, as the title suggests, I cant select the “preview” button with anki flashcard selector anymore. Use to work fine, giving me a tab with a preview of the card, but now clicking it does nothing, regardless on how I input my notes (files or text).

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the Preview button in the AnkiHub flashcard selector. Based on your screenshot and description, it seems the Preview functionality that used to work is no longer responding when clicked.
This appears to be a technical issue that hasn’t been specifically documented in our community forums yet. Since this is a functionality issue with the AnkiHub interface, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
-
Check for updates: Make sure both your Anki application and the AnkiHub add-on are updated to the latest versions.
-
Restart Anki: Sometimes a simple restart of the application can resolve temporary issues.
-
Clear cache:
- Close Anki completely
- Restart your computer
- Open Anki again and try using the Preview button
-
Reinstall the add-on: If the issue persists, try reinstalling the AnkiHub add-on.
-
Try different browsers: If you’re using the web app, try using a different browser to see if the issue persists.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, I’d recommend:
- Reporting this as a bug through the official support channels
- Providing details about your:
- Operating system
- Anki version
- AnkiHub add-on version
- Browser (if using the web app)
Would you like me to guide you through any of these troubleshooting steps in more detail? Or would you prefer information on how to report this bug to the development team?
Hello,
Please try this quick fix:
- Update Anki:
Go to https://apps.ankiweb.net/ and download the latest version (25.02.6). Then run the installer — it will automatically update your Anki. - Update the AnkiHub add-on:
In Anki’s main window, go to Tools > Add-ons > Check for Updates. Restart Anki after that.
If the issue persists after these steps, we can ask the developers for a closer look.
Let me know how it goes!
Hi, thanks for your prompt reply. I was on 25.02.05, but after updating to 25.02.06, and checking for Ankihub add-on updates, I still am facing the issue unfortunately.
Thank you again
@Brian_BH was able to reproduce the issue, and the developers will be working on a fix very soon.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention!
Hi, sorry to bother… Im just wondering if there’s any update coming soon for this issue? I’ve just been billed for my AnkiHub Premium subscription, and since the current issue is affecting the main thing I use it for, I’m a bit hesitant to keep paying . Totally understand if there’s no update yet, I just want to get a sense of whether I should pause my subscription for now until things are sorted. Thanks you, I appreciate it none the less(:
