How to Remove the “One-By-One” Feature () from Cards

The One-By-One feature lets you reveal clozes sequentially, which can be useful for memorizing information in a specific order.

One-By-One Keyboard Shortcuts

The deck includes buttons and keyboard shortcuts for revealing fields:

• Press n to toggle each One-By-One box individually.
• Press , to toggle all One-By-One boxes at once.
• Other fields can be opened using h or ' to reveal them all at once.

Remove the One-By-One Feature

If you don’t want a note to use the One-By-One feature:

1. Find the One by one field on the note.
2. Remove the text from that field.
3. The note will return to behaving like a normal cloze note.

If you don’t want AnkiHub updates to restore the One by one field, you can protect that field for all notes or protect it on an individual note.
