Thanks for laying out everything youâve already triedâthatâs very helpful.
Because your AnkiHub subscription is active on the website but Anki is still showing the ârequires an active membershipâ message, this is almost certainly an account/authorization issue on AnkiHubâs side (e.g., cached token, profile UUID mismatch, or the wrong account being linked), not something you can fully fix locally.
Youâve already done the right local steps (reinstalling the add-on, clearing local addâon files, relogging, downgrading to a supported Anki version), so at this point it needs a backend check.
Since I canât directly access or reset your UUID or authentication from here, Iâd suggest the following to help the AnkiHub team resolve it quickly:
Doubleâcheck the logged-in email in AnkiHub (web) vs Anki addâon
In the AnkiHub website, confirm the email of the account with the active subscription.
In Anki, open the AnkiHub add-on and confirm youâre logged into that exact same email.
If they differ, log out in Anki, then log back in with the subscribed account.
Force a full re-auth in Anki
In Anki:
Log out of AnkiHub in the add-on.
Restart Anki.
Log back in and wait a few seconds to let it refresh your membership status.
Then try the action that previously showed the membership error.
Include key details so staff can manually reset UUID / auth
Youâve already requested a reset (good!), but to make it easier for the team when they see this topic, please add the following in a reply (if you havenât already):
The email address of the AnkiHub account with the active subscription (you can obfuscate it slightly like name[at]gmail.com if you want).
A screenshot of:
Your AnkiHub âBilling/Subscriptionâ page showing the active membership.
The error message in Anki.
Your:
Anki version (you mentioned 24.06.x â specify exact build, e.g. 24.06.2).
AnkiHub add-on version (from Anki â Tools â Add-ons â AnkiHub â View Files / Config or the add-on dialog header).
Operating system (Windows/macOS/Linux, version).
This will give them everything needed to:
Confirm your subscription.
Check your profile UUID / tokens on their backend.
Manually reset or re-link your profile if needed.
While waiting for backend fix
Avoid repeatedly uninstalling/reinstalling or changing Anki versions moreâyouâve already done the important troubleshooting.
Just keep using Anki as usual; once they fix your membership recognition, the message should stop without additional work on your end.
Because this clearly needs a backend adjustment, the next step is for an AnkiHub team member to step in on this topic and reset/repair the profile authentication/UUID you mentioned. Youâve already opened the right kind of support topic, so youâre in the right placeânow itâs mostly about providing those extra details so they can act quickly.
