Smart Search Frozen

I am trying to use the smart search option with my lecture file but the smart search seems to be stuck on “wrapping up”. It has been sitting here like this for over 30 minutes now.

I’m having the same issue for the first time. Eventually the notification fades and nothing happens. Same thing happening for single word text searches. Love this feature, pls fix.

The file type is a PDF and the file size is 3.04 MB.

I tried a single word in text search, instead of the normal 1-2 seconds it took 7 minutes and the “in process banner” of “searching” had disappeared a while ago before returning normal results.

They might just have a server or two down for maintenance and one’s chugging along in slow motion.

My lecture file after being stuck on wrapping up the message just disappeared so not really sure what’s going on. I attached a screenshot of what it looks like.

After idling for an extra 5 minutes, after the in process “searching” banner disappeared, it returned results for my single word search of “renin”.

I’m also doing lecture notes. Going to give those two hours of idling, worried server might DC me and I won’t ever get results returned.

30 min update* lecture notes the same as tsingh (text copy paste of full lecture notes didn’t work either), a test of single word “renin” still works but only after 5 to 7 minutes.

Yup just tried a single search for cholesterol in the text option and it finally showed some cards, but the lecture files are still not working

I have one computer using the addon for PDF and one doing it through the website for text and they’re still not returning results. Worried I’ve DC’ed on both by this point.

Leaving it but just catching up with reviews and hoping later tonight whatever servers are down go back up.

I’ve passed this along to the developers and they are currently aware of this as being an ongoing issue

I’ve made sure that they’ve received your report, and all the relevant information, so they should have everything they need to dig in and hopefully find the cause, as well as hopefully a solution, in short order. I don’t have a timeline just yet, as the issue has just been reported, though hopefully sooner rather than later. :crossed_fingers:

Thank you! Still yet to be able to find a resolution.

My lecture notes upload and also my copy paste still hasn’t returned results. I’m pretty sure the server gave up, each is only 2450 words. Normally would take 2-3 minutes but this is 2+ hr.

Also having this issue! Hope they can get it fixed. I rely heavily on this feature to find relevant cards so this is extremely frustrating.
