Should the part of the molecule changed line up with the color coding of the products (blue) to reactants (red) or just have it red in both.
It could be either; I see no issues at this point; it’s a personal preference. @Brian_BH, any preferences?
I could go either away. Of course the more dialed in the images the better, though I don’t know how much appetite you have to making each of them bespoke as you go.
In theory the prettier the better, though in practice the amount of time and labor (multiplied by however many images get done) is also important to keep in mind
I don’t mind adding the color to the molecule to highlight structural changes. It doesn’t take me very long with the software. Doing them red vs blue doesn’t add any time. Whatever you guys think looks best works. I personally think reactant molecule changes blue and product molecule changes red looks the best.
I think the image you have above looks great; it’s certainly a far improvement from some of the stuff that’s been linger in the deck for arguably too long
