Can someone confirm and approve if true
Yes, this is true. Per the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Basic and Clinical Science Course textbook, section 2 - Fundamentals and Principles of Ophthalmology, 2021-2022 pp 82 “The lens is held in place by the system of zonular fibers (zonule, suspensory ligament) that originate from the basal laminae of the nonpigmented epithelium of the pars plana and pars plicata of the ciliary body.” This indicates that zonular fibers are also referred to as suspensory ligaments of the lens. It is important not to confuse this with the suspensory ligament of Lockwood, which provides support for the globe and anteroinferior orbit.
