View Suggestion on AnkiHub

@pkaps01 I love the image update. :slight_smile:

My only hesitation is that, if the concept we’re dealing with is that terpenes are the precursors to cholesterol (and, thus, steroids), do we need to show the precursor to the precursor (farnesyl pyrophosphate)? Or can we save that real estate?

It may also be worth, at the risk of pointing out what may not be immediately obvious to folks learning the card, that squalene is itself a terpene

good point. We can drop the farnesyl pyrophosphate.

Do you think stating that squalene is a terpene in the image instead of having squalene (terpene) above would be an improvement?

Yeah, I think it would clean things up a bit. Your favorite section, the Additional Resources tab, has it like that:

The image is gross, but the basic conceit I think works well enough to state the case (and save a bit of space at the same time)

Squalenes and terpenes aren’t hugely high-yield, but I remember a goodly number of questions over them and it’s probably helpful to be able to differentiate/discriminate between all the ‘-enes’

Ha!

here’s the updated version:

If you like it would you mind rejecting this suggestion and I’ll resubmit with the new image.

Done and done. :slight_smile:

Thanks! just resubmitted.
