View Suggestion on AnkiHub

@herstein.jacob I think we’ve discussed this before and rejected it but I don’t remember why. Do you remember why/can we reject

The card is not wrong; there are two murmurs, and Amboss states that as well. I am struggling to remember if this was important to any of UW or AMBOSS’s questions or not, but I have a feeling that it was, so we might need to check IDs if there is a discussion to change anything

In any case suggestion can be auto-rejected due to lack of source

Dude just look at your own tables you use lol they all show systolic

But beyond that all i asked was that you add a source to the answer i didn’t say you were wrong…

I apologize for any inconvenience

AMBOSS “Soft mid-diastolic murmur over the lower left sternal border (Due to increased flow across the tricuspid valve)”

UpToDate “A middiastolic murmur of low to medium frequency due to high flow across the tricuspid valve may be heard with careful auscultation”

We usually do not add resources to individual cards unless a major change has been made
The table is meant to mention only HY things

Thank you! Appreciate the time and effort!
And i didn’t realize the tables are HY I thought you guys do them

maybe the table should be changed or something added to extra to avoid confusion?

I think the table is fine as is. It’s a trick question the first time but will gradually get used to it

I feel like I’ve seen this suggestion multiple times though I think there should be some sort of clarification so it doesn’t keep popping up in the queue

which is why i suggest adding the source to the answer

I also personally think there is no reason to have this answer since every other question about ASD murmur shows specifically a systolic murmur ex: Anki id: 1368292796303

@anking-maintainers thoughts?

This nid:1368292796303 mentions listening at the pulmonic area (while AMBOSS mentions LLSB). So its not entirely wrong that it says systolic murmur

I never really paid attention to this card and then a pediatric cardiologist corrected me when I said ASD has a systolic murmur. He mentioned that its both, and said the same thing AMBOSS said about why there’s a diastolic one as well.

Maybe not extremely HY for step but it’s still good to know. Don’t see a strong reason to change this
