Actually… The suggestion shouldn’t be rejected as it is more accurate… The term pharmacologic stress tests is a broad term with two general methods/mechanisms implemented (And this card is only referring to one of those, the vasodilator method.) In fact, pharmacologic stress is also the term often used to refer to a dobutamine stress test which is not based on the coronary steal/vasodilator method, it works by increasing ionotropy and chronotrophy of the myocardium. Indeed, even First Aid says its the principle behind pharmacologic stress tests with CORONARY VASODILATORS, this card oversimplifies the reality to a fault.
