I think either way it needs to be fidaxomicin, whether it’s this one or the other card, since that one says vanc or fidaxo. The amboss question I got wrong had both answers in it, so they clearly wanted to delineate the difference. “For patients with an initial CDI episode of CDI (regardless of severity), we suggest fidaxomicin over vancomycin (table 2) (Grade 2C), given a small benefit with respect to recurrence rates” and “For patients with a first or second CDI recurrence, we suggest a fidaxomicin-based regimen over a vancomycin-based regimen (Grade 2C)” says it should be fidaxomicin regardless of first or recurrent
