Support - part of the reason for the benefit to ATP’s inhibition of specifically PFK-1 is PFK-1’s status as a regulatory enzyme in glycolysis. When it’s activated, it’ll facilitate glycolysis → later producing ATP in the cellular respiration chain. With more ATP, less production of it is needed, so this is a case of product inhibition.
