@anking-maintainers I agree that chronnic alcohol abuse is not the preferred term. However, I think the focus is on the alcohol use and not getting into the weeds about alcohol use vs. alcohol use disorder. I feel like I remember questions where the pt doesn’t have an alcohol use disorder (withdrawal symptoms, etc) yet still used alcohol a few drinks a day and developed ED. AMBOSS says “heavy alcohol use”. I think that this is the more appropriate term for this question to avoid the DSM-5 criteria for alcohol use disorder. Agreed with heavy alcohol use. The colloquial term “whiskey dick” exists for a reason :joy:

I think we should change this card to say “Heavy alcohol use can…”

Edit was changing suggestion from “alcohol use disorder” to “heavy alcohol use”
already have 5 votes on original reply by DillingerMed for that.
