I believe the wavelength has to be in m. Correct me if I’m wrong though.

For sure yeah. Most all textbook equations are going to default to meters

Maybe there’s an exception or two somewhere, but as a general rule we want to keep the equations standardized by default

Also wouldnt E here just be in J. an eV is 1.6 x 10^-19 J from my understanding which isnt right here.

Not sure, would have to double-check which unit it uses. Been too long

Yeah you’re right it can just be in meters but I’ve usually only ever seen in it in questions as nm and this excerpt from Kaplan said this so this is what I’ve had in my head

You’re right; it is in Joules typically. I had it backward when I was writing the note part and got confused when I was looking at past examples of it being in eV’s
