I have never heard the term stony dullness used, donāt think it is necessary. Agree that it could just say ādue to fluid filling the lungsā
I think it is just poorly worded - itās saying that the dense nature of the fluid in the lungs results in dullness to percussion(i.e., the frequency of sound produced by percussing with your fingers is altered by the fluid)
Removed the āsomeā, didnāt add the stony dull
