@alexlewis this should be clarified based on staging as presumably this has an enormous impact on 5 year mortality.

@Stapedius This is true. I suppose this highlights an issue with this kind of card. Is it really worth memorising the prognosis of loads of different cancers or other diseases? If we decide that even high-yield diseases will get epidemiology cards, that is potentially hundreds of cards. Furthermore, what’s the relevance in clinical practice and exams?

Probably very low yield indeed. I do think it’s useful for the common diseases, but I do think if it is used it should be specific to staging. ie. 5 year mortality in melanoma that is metastatic has dramatically improved over the last 10 years with mabs, while in the 1900s it would have been a death sentence. @alexlewis
