I think 4 T’s would be too much to remember, although we do have the terrible T’s for mediastinal masses
ya can see an argument either way, high yield info for obgyn though. personally like the change but okay either way
and the “four C’s of measles”
- one of the Rotation OBGYNS came to present at my school and I remember him saying “I’ma pimp you guys right now, What are the four T’s of post-partum hemorrhage?”
I think there is an added benefit to recalling these all at once, bc you shouldn’t be looking at these and going “whats missing?” you should be able to recall them all together cold. but maybe that’s just me
Agree with @Ahmed7 that this could become super difficult, but okay with it if there is a lot of support
I’m in my last block right now before dedicated and it’s Repro. So this card is fresh for me and if it was all cloze 1’s I would have suspended it lol
Alright reading your opinion here you might have convinced me, BUT would this change make the card too difficult for Step 1 users?
I think the first couple of times reviewing it, it might be slightly more difficult but I would say no to “too difficult” I think at first glace it looks like a lot of info bc of the quantity of content in each cloze (supplementary info explaining why) but really the only thing this card is really testing is “Atony, Trauma, Thrombin, Tissue” which when you look at it that way it’s far simpler than it first appears. I definitely think the benefit of joint recall far outweighs the potential initial struggle.
Again this might be just me but I actually changed this card when I was in repro a couple of months ago and found that it actually got easier to recall them (I stopped getting it wrong)
@AnKing-Maintainers just double-checking before pushing. we good here?
I am still against, maybe we can revote on Slack since this will be removing 3 clozes?
I think we have enough hesitancy to update this that I’m a reject for now if we want to revisit it in the future we can.
