@Michael_B, it does strike me as being better-worded overall, aside from the typo in ‘eliminates.’ Thoughts here?
In the original version, there isn’t a verb that begins the c1 cloze for positive selection but there is for negative selection. So this suggestion does make things more uniform. “Apoptosis” is a buzzword that could flag negative selection in a studier’s mind. Would be helpful to stick with that terminology. So I’ve included everything outside of the beginning of c1 for negative selection & the added part in Extra since it’s already mentioned that apoptosis happens for negative selection
