post in r/step2 had someone confused on this card and what is the next best step. Lots of discussion but seems to come down to difference in “what is best test to confirm or evaluate” patient vs “what is next best step in management”
best test to confirm suspected splenic injury = CT abd with contrast
next best step in management blunt trauma + HDS = FAST exam
wording of best initial test causes confusion because it doesn’t help answer these questions
