@Cameron helps with differentiating the underlying cause of ascites - SAAG (serum-to-ascites albumin gradient) ≥1.1 suggests portal HTN (e.g. cirrhosis or HF), total protein <2.5 suggests cirrhosis or nephrotic syndrome
