@Anking-Maintainers
three open suggestions for this card, a change should be done 100%
I think changing it to recurrent CAD like you’ve done makes more sense than “preventing MI” since CAD is more broad than MI. I’d also be okay with adding the info about statins and lifestyle mods to the extra, but I’m not sure it’s necessary since the card is asking about preferred treatment
Would much more prefer “secondary prevention in CAD” than “recurrent CAD”, Recurrent CAD doesn’t make sense since patient already has CAD per stress testing.
Also we should add statins in extra to complement the text field.
Check the current change please
Another suggestion
What is the preferred treatment to prevent recurrence and/or progression of coronary artery disease in patients with stable angina (inducible ischemia)?
Like the one in text field, @AnKing-Maintainers what do you guys prefer
Agreed, but I think “secondary” in secondary prevention should get an emphasis, either bold or underline, since that’s a crucial distinction on this card. I feel people would have a risk of glossing over the word secondary
Just did the UW question I believe this is based on; coming back to this. Think the suggestion open here from chase.morey26 is actually more to the point. Patient had an inducible ischemia on stress test → answer is anti-platelet (and high intensity statin if it were an option) specifically to reduce risk of myocardial infarction.
We should include both in the cloze to make the card more generalizable rather than hyper-specific to a single UW Q
