I interpret the new wording to imply that it is okay to give Asprin to children who are afebrile, which i don’t think is intended. I’d prefer if “especially those” were added back. But I like the rest of it.

I agree. I brought back “especially” but with more concise wording: “especially those with” → “especially during”.
