I agree that a change should happen here
- maybe change the cloze to emergency transfusion and keep type O blood to the extra
- Second bullet point, we use MTP if we suspect massive hemorrhage not if instability persist
- In the text it says refractory to IV fluid which i think is not accurate and blood should be given once available
Maybe we can change the second bullet point to “often times in cases of massive hemorrhage massive transfusion protocol (MTP) is activated using a 1:1:1…”
Within the text, I think whenever this card was created it was intended to be part of the ABCs of trauma algorithm where you would transfuse even if Hgb is >7 (considering Hgb is a concentration value and volume lost rapidly won’t be reflected in Hgb levels)
