Personally prefer the original. The suggestion makes it sound like spinal shock and autonomic dysreflexia occur simultaneously, which is misleading.
Could maybe go for something like “Autonomic dysreflexia may develop after spinal shock in patients with spinal cord injuries typically above {{c1::T6}}”
