For this type of thing I would say from my understanding (after learning about the phases and mismatch repair), the original card works fine.
Because mismatch repair does occur during DNA Replication when DNA Polymerase is still working.
But in general, correction of mistakes during DNA replication occurs during G2, so that’s why sources will tell you mismatch repair and just DNA repair in general happens during G2. So technically, I think mismatch repair happens during S a lot but then probably a little during G2.
