I tried resubmitting a suggested change with a better explanation but it has not been accepted or rejected in almost 2 months so I’m guessing it got buried? This is a copy paste of my other suggestion post.
The perpetrator of physical child abuse is described in AMBOSS as being a primary caregiver but it is not specifically stated that it is most commonly the biological mother. It may not be vital information, but I feel like it is misleading and inaccurate. A change to the general primary caregiver aligns with information provided in accepted sources.
Firt Aid for the Psychiatry Clerkship also specifies that the perpetrator is most commonly a first-degree male relative such as a parent (biological or step father), guardian, or mother’s boyfriend.
I have included screenshots of my 2 sources as well for reference.
