@dman197 from my quick review I believe you are correct. I don’t personally have Amboss available to review. We should probably update the source for that reason. @Stapedius do you have any insight about this/do any of the rest of our team have general surgical expertise, because I certainly can’t offer expert analysis here unfortunately.
@braviboron I’ve done a colorectal term but definitely ain’t a specialist in GS. I think the amnedment is correct; and certainly is backed up by radiopedia, which might be a better source to add: Whipple procedure | Radiology Reference Article | Radiopaedia.org. I admit I think I made this card way back in 2023, so can’t remember exactly why I added the enteroenterostomy; online it sounds like it’s often done after a Whipple’s to help with gastric emptying, but doesn’t look to be actually part of the Whipple’s itself.
