Many anking cards ask for adjectives or other information before a disease. So a hint as to what the card is actually asking just makes answering the card have less friction and a more efficient learning process. Adding the hint in no way compromises the card, but helps people save a few seconds. That is the same reason there is a hint for “demographics” for the cloze deletion for “children” on the this same card. Just trying to make these cards 1% better at a time. Not every cloze needs a hint. Dysentery implies it is asking for a bug/infection already; in context of HUS in a child this should be a knee jerk answer
