can someone compare to comments on other suggestion on this card and help me decide what to change this to. this feels appropriate but i’m not sure
If we’re talking about the treatment of truly acute (or hyperacute!) seizures, then I like this card, and it is more clear than the previous suggestion - though incorrect, as whilst phenytoin is certainly used, valproate definitely isn’t. For the purposes of this suggestion, I’ve taken a screenshot of an algorithm on tintinalli study guide p1157: https://i.imgur.com/Szta5XX.png - however, the commenter on the previous made a good point that this is more for status - and tintinalli supports not giving anything for the first 5 minutes. I think what this card is actually getting at is primary seizure prevention - but I think it should say that (and the previous suggestion edited as such) - or alternatively, the word ‘prophylaxis’.
