I think we’d need to clarify what spectrum means in the extra field. I’ve never seen that term before
Fair enough-- added. Deleted the bit that described placenta accreta specifically (plus don’t think the A-I-P is necessary given the added description?)
Same here
I even typed it in one of my cards to make sure Amboss add-on recognizes it
I like the card the way you have it now. I think it’d be good to have some sort of blurb that explains the difference briefly between accreta increta etc in place of or in addition to the mnemonic
Added a link from the ACOG to the rationale as well: https://www.acog.org/clinical/clinical-guidance/obstetric-care-consensus/articles/2018/12/placenta-accreta-spectrum
Oh, I guess that was what the A-I-P thing was trying to get at? (A on top, I into, and P within-- the myometrium?) Doesn’t really seem intuitive to me. Could just include something like: (?)
Accreta = attachment of the placenta to myometrium, without penetrating it
Increta = placenta penetrating into myometrium
Percreta = placenta penetrating through myometrium
Personally would prefer to keep current info in extra section, could just add the explanation below the current extra info. I still use / remember AIP. If you understand that accreta is attachment, then it should be obvious though that increta and percreta would also require hysterectomy as well
Agree with Thomas, we can keep the original extra text as well as new extra text
I like the current suggestion. I say we push. @anking-maintainers any objections?
UW QID check first
I don’t see any QIDs except for the COMLEX one. Do you know anyone who can check that?
Step QID 19898, not only COMLEX
