What is “OM?” Can you please clarify why this change is beneficial?
Oh sure. OM refers to Order of the Mnemonic, “the MVP tall dude cuts the thoracic aorta and causes blood to leak backwards”. The order of the pathologies in the mnemonic is mitral valve prolapse, dissection, thoracic aortic aneurysm, and then aortic regurgitation. changing the order of the pathologies on the card facilitates use of the mnemonic.
Thank you! Honestly, I am not confident that the mnemonic is super helpful in current form. Maybe we can come up with something else (would still live in extra) @Ahmed7 @Sameem @thomas.holmes @Cameron
Yea the mnemonic in extra isnt that good, personally I like simple letter mnemonics my friend “MAAT has Marfan’s” but it wouldn’t help you remember which each one is just the starting of each pathology
What about “Marfan’s Mighty Aortic Trio” - MVP, aortic regurgitation, dissection, and aneurysm
Sounds good to me
