Hello,

This is just a temporary server issue. Everything should be back to normal soon!

Please restart Anki and let us know if you continue to experience this issue! :blush:

I had this issue last night and I’m still dealing with the same issue. Is it still a temporary server tissue?

Does this error occur when bulk suggesting notes?

It happens even when I try suggesting 1 note

Does it happen only with this specific note? The more detail you can provide about how the error is triggered, the better we can investigate.

I create medical school decks using the lecture material. Every single deck that I try to suggest yesterday night and tonight, it won’t upload and it give me this error. I’ve already tried using AI to troubleshoot it but it still gives me the same response

All right, thank you for the context! I notified our developers, and they’ll take a look at the issue soon.

Thank you! Let me know if there’s anything I can do in the meantime

I’m still having issues for submitting cards to Ankihub.

According to the server logs, AnkiHub is apparently refusing to save some notes because they have unusually large IDs. Were the notes created manually or using some tool? Can you use AnkiHub>Help>Upload logs and data and post the filename shown?

I used Chatgpt to generate the Anki decks, its strange because I’ve been doing it for 3 months now and I haven’t had any issues.

I’ve attached the below the bug report:

ankihub_addon_logs_Jddabboud_1790376051.log

OK, I confirmed the issue is with the guid IDs. Most consist of 23 letters, but Anki normally does not generate IDs longer than 10 and this assumption is used in AnkiHub.

It’s possible to fix the IDs without generating the notes. Try running this script in the debug console after selecting the problematic notes in the browser. Please back up your collection first just in case.

import aqt
from anki.utils import guid64
from aqt import mw
from aqt.operations.note import update_notes
from aqt.utils import tooltip

MAX_LEN = 10

browser = aqt.dialogs._dialogs["Browser"][1]
if not browser:
    raise Exception("Open the browser and select notes first.")

col = mw.col
used = set()
notes = []
for nid in browser.selected_notes():
    note = col.get_note(nid)
    if len(note.guid) <= MAX_LEN:
        continue
    while True:
        guid = guid64()
        if guid not in used and not col.db.scalar(
            "select 1 from notes where guid = ?", guid
        ):
            break
    used.add(guid)
    print(f"{nid}: {note.guid!r} -> {guid!r}")
    note.guid = guid
    notes.append(note)

if notes:
    update_notes(parent=browser, notes=notes).success(
        lambda _: tooltip(f"Changed the GUID of {len(notes)} notes.")
    ).run_in_background()
else:
    print("No selected notes have a GUID longer than 10 characters.")
