Inspired by the renowned Anking v12, this deck focuses on complementing rather than competing with the Anking v12 deck. This deck uses the v12 deck but we add more cards to the deck to enrich your understanding of biochemistry, basic human biology, histology, and much more! :dna::chart_with_upwards_trend:

  • Purpose:

:dart: Our deck is specifically designed for new medical students who are overwhelmed by the vast amount of information in medical school. “Late Night Medical God” comes to the rescue with a vast array of pre-made cards, covering both intricate and fundamental topics in medical studies. We wanted to make this is your last medical textbook. While it’s great that Anking provides a great resource for STEP, it lacks a great deal of info needed for medical school exams. We wanted to add and develop a strong resource for all of medical school, not just a supplemental resource. :hospital::clipboard:

Histology is an important unit that most schools test on, but it is not well developed in the Anking deck. Review the basics, which include stainings and how to prepare a histology slide.

  • Implementation/Install:

YOU MUST ADD THE FOLLOWING ADD-ONS TO YOUR ANKI PROFILE FIRST INORDER FOR THE DECK TO WORK!!!

For those that are new to anki add-ons please follow the following steps to ensure the add-ons are added correctly.

  1. Navigate to the “Tools” tab at the top of the main Anki homepage and locate and click on add-ons.
  2. Now, click “Get Add-ons” located on the right side of the newly opened Anki window.
  3. I have obtained the add-ons for you already, you just have to copy the following codes and paste them in the small text box noted as “code”. After you have pasted the code and clicked “ok” you WILL need to restart anki. And you will be good to go.

ANKI ADD-ON Codes:

  • Create Hyperlinks - “318752047” - allows the use of direct links to videos
  • Colorful Tags (+ Hierarchical Tags) - “594329229” - organization of tags, Ex. here
  • Anking Note Types - “952691989” - allows cards to organize the Large info.

Important Tags Info:

Following install, every card is located within one deck, browse the deck and view the tags on the left side. Locate the tag called “Late_Night_Medical_God” which has both the AUC tags for each lecture and the full system based tags needed for all terms.

You will want to right click on the “Late_Night_Medical_God” tag and click “pin”. This will pin it to the top of the tags. Furthermore, right click on the same tag again and click “assign color” and pick any color. Because this is home base, you don’t want to spend time looking for it in the sea of tags.
