mnemonics are fine, but you cannot recall a 1 by 1 card that starts with all Ps, there are people that like to go one by one chronologically, they would have to remember each one not only based on each letter but the order as well. for example the 5 Fs for gallstone (fat fertile female etc.) it cannot be a 1 by 1 card because you would have to know fat is first, then female is second etc etc. however the PHEOC mnmeonic you provided that can be a 1 by 1, since you can remember the order based on the letters and makes it much easier, if community likes the mnemonic we can accept, I hope that makes sense, maybe it works for you but you have to remember there are 10,000 other users that that would have to also use this

imo unnecessary and one-by-one’s doesn’t really work well for cards like this

Ty for the explanation. I am learning how yall do things slowly. I actually dont like 1 by 1s myself either haha. Can we just Make a 5 answers 1 cloze and not make the card 1 by 1. The reason is that when you have the answers split into multiple clozes in a card like this, I tend to recall info based on the exposed answers and not by pure recall its self. For example, if there are 5 symptoms and 1 is missing… easy to recall. Thats not how it works IRL tho. You gotta be able to come up with all 5 on the spot with no hints if you are getting pimped.

I think Aaron brings up a great point with needing all 5 on the spot. This is the hardest type of card to deal with. >3 seemingly disparate pieces of info put together at once useful when remembered all at once

I agree @blue @aaron, whenever it comes to cards especially triads i like to have them together so i can recall them at once, i can remember them more effectively like that

I initially downvoted for the reasons laid out by Ahmed, however I’ve now withdrawn that. I think there is an argument for bulk recall where the content is high yield enough. It does create the issue of slowing down recall though, which for a lower yield card is not worth the tradeoff. My question for those further ahead than myself - to me, it feels like for a step 1 card, this is too much (as unlikely to need all 5 at once to answer a question. However, for a step 2 card, bulk recall is potentially more appropriate. Just my 2c, others who are further along than me may feel differently.

@joe, we could label each with a hint for example ::BP, ::HR, ::Skin, if this card was all 1 cloze alot of people would just bury, it ruins the flow of review imo

@Ahmed, should we reject or continue to work on this?

im for adding hints to this but not all of them can easily have hints, we could reject and visit later to try to get the queue resolved
