@achar Thanks for this explanation! Since it discusses different outcomes with positive/negative signs in each variable, I think it adds a lot more meaning to the equation itself. There was an earlier suggestion of yours that added an explanation but was more about conceptual definition/manipulation of one of the terms rather than the equation itself. I only say this to illustrate the line that there is between when explanations are fitting. I really like how your explanation here is standardized in its formatting (e.g., this is seen when juxtaposing “heat transfer INTO the system” and then “heat transfer OUT OF the system”)
