can change to classically characterized, or usually, or initially. regardless i don’t think this change is needed
“at onset” on the end? Tried initially, but that implies it would change over time. T2DM would have insulin deficiency after prolonged disease course but T1DM is characterized by it
What about leave text as is and just add note to extra “Late stage type 2 diabetes may also have insulin deficiency due to beta cell dysfunction”
