Could also be “Should you retest in 2 weeks in a newborn who tested positive in a screen for congenital hypothyroidism? {{c1::No!}}” Extra: Start levothyroxine immediately. Permanent neurological damage if not started within 2 weeks.
@DillingerMed @Cameron I agree with Ivan, it seems like the confusion around the question is whether to start treatment or do a follow-up test to confirm the diagnosis first, not what is the treatment - so don’t think this card as is would be helpful. Might be better to put this in the extra section of existing cards (e.g. NID:1577239940875) and emphasize the importance of treating hypothyroidism ASAP due to risk of developing cretinism, or modify that card.
